Thanks for posting this information. It is an incredible story. Had the Japanese succeeded in their efforts, they could have controlled the Indian Ocean and all of the resources of the lands adjoining it.

Even more… The Battle of the Coral Sea would have been different. The Japanese suffered just a little but enough to have three carriers needing some repairs done.
