ICM He 111H-3 – Day 24

I haven’t done much on Day 24 except trying to figure out how to proceed with the instructions which were confusing.

I had checked the strut I had glued the night before. It was solidly attached.

Then I tried dry fitting the parts using the images I had found on the Internet, working with tweezers…

Still unsure how to proceed I had decided again to call it a day since there is always a tomorrow on My Forgotten Hobby III. So until tomorrow here are some more pictures I took yesterday…

Its looking pretty good overall at this point. Looks like most seams are pretty small, should clean up pretty easy.
I do remember the gear was tricky. I’ve also never been great with tweezers, it does require a certain “touch” I’ve not mastered. But I have found more old-school tweezers, not the locking kind, work easier for placing parts. That way you can finesse it into place, then just let go. With the locking sort its a trickier thing to release their grip, and if there’s any glue on the tweezers at all they won’t let go! The locking sort like you’re using are great for holding parts, especially for painting and holding things steady for a bit.
Just my two cents worth, and I’m a long way from being very good at it.

I was not using tweezers that much before, but now I am sold on it just like Tamiya extra-thin cement and masking tapes.
